Re: Can I edit the functions.php file or create a custom one

I'm not thrilled about installing another theme (even just a 'child theme) just to edit one file. I think you might misunderstand the phrase "child theme." It is not installing "another theme" but but basically creating a directory and placing any custom code you want in there. As Colin points out,...

Re: theme folder name

Lillyy, unless you have a genuinely compelling need, it is almost certainly best for you to just use the default folder names for everything. Having said that, if you are renaming for security the best way to go is to rename your wp-content directory via a declaration in wp-config. First, you can be...

Re: Caching Embedded Images

Thanks for the pointers Colin!

I'm not about to start editing theme php files, so "interesting" is where it will stay for me.

If Sayontan makes it configurable in some future release, I'd use it, but that's as far as my concern goes <smile>.

Re: Caching Embedded Images

I checked my own blog and I'm pretty confident that it is Suffusion creating the extra image files. Mine is a multi-site install and the cache images are created in the directories : wp-content/blogs.dir/[blog#]/files/[month#]/ wp-content/blogs.dir/[blog#]/files/thumb-cache/ The reason I'm confident...

Re: Display a long list of all post titles

From what I can see of the plugin, the capability is built in to Suffusion so you may be introducing unnecessary code. If you are dealing with your front page, you can configure it to display a bullet list of titles at /wp-admin/themes.php?page=suffusion-options-manager&tab=theme-options-visual-effe...

Re: 3.7.8 working good with WP 3.1

I can confirm that 3.8 is working well in four different environments including Multisite, multisite with Domain Mapping, BuddyPress and one with 16 plugins running.

Great work Sayontan!

Re: 3.7.7 really broken.

I'd love to have it. Google group?

I did discover why 3.7.3 "wasn't working" for me. The way I do some custom includes is specific to a single widget so the css selector is very specific. The widget did not have the identical id when I changed versions, so ....text-7 became ....text-6.

Re: I surrender

Why don't you just downgrade to version 3.6.6?

Re: 3.7.7 really broken.

There might be some kind of conflict with multisite installs. I'm experiencing a number of the issues reported on this thread. On a completely new install, with multisite activated with Domain Mapping, but no sites added or domains mapped. Zero plugins activated. The first time I visit Suffusion Opt...

Re: 3.7.7 really broken.

Because I constantly torture a couple of my sites, I have experienced several instances where plugins have broken Suffusion and other themes -- and also broken other plugins. The badly behaving jquery loading is not new or unique to a single plugin and causes problems way beyond Suffusion's backend....
