Widget background color came back

Postby Fizzgigg » 14 May 2012, 05:50

Hi.
When I upgraded to v4.2 of Suffusion, the background color in my widgets came back. How do I make them transparent again? I had them transparent before the update, but I don't remember how I got them that way.

Thank you for your time.

Check your custom styles.

If no luck there come back with a url and which widgets.

I find Custom Types, Custom Layout and a couple of other Custom, but not Custom styles.

There is a quick search in the back-end that can help you search. Try Back-end -> Custom Includes -> Custom Styles.

Well well, would you look at that, it way hiding back there. :oops:

The only thing in Custom styles was this:

Code: Select all
    div.suf-widget {
            background-color: #F8E3B9;
    }

.entry p { text-align: left; }

I tried removing the div.suf-widget part, only keeping line with .entry, but that didn't help.

The lines that you removed are the ones that change the background colour. Put the lines back modified as in this article http://aquoid.com/news/2012/03/upcoming ... suffusion/ and all should be well.

It worked like a charm. :) Thanks.

Is there a way change the background color to transparency, so to speak? Or is the only way to get what looks like transparency to set the same color as the color "on the layer below"?

Yes

Just use transparent instead of your hex number. Check out W3C Schools for all the CSS definitions.
