Suffusion 4.2 and IE8

Postby 2porter » 07 May 2012, 14:19

Just updated to 4.2. Looks great in Chrome & Firefox. IE8 loses the header image and the layout of the footer widgets. http://londonhomesandcondos.com
Thanks

I believe you have a problem with your caching plugin - you will need to rebuild your cache. The new DOCTYPE is html (for HTML 5), but on your site it still shows up as xhtml, which causes some tags to not be recognized.

Thank you, it wasn't the caching plug-in buy you steered me in the right direction. I am using a child theme. Sure enough if I switched back to Suffusion, the problem is gone. The problem was the header.php in my child theme folder, which had the old DOCTYPE. Fixed the header.php and problem solved
Thanks again
