Thanks! That was really helpful. Main thing about the Javascript was the widgets but luckily the main ones I needed to work have a non-Javascript version available, but the noscript tag I'll be looking into using for the comments section (using Disqus) for when those who have JS disabled can have a nice wee message to kindly enable if they'd like to see the comments.
Another thing I've noticed is for the tile layout that I use and had it set to show thumbnail container only if an image is present. For some reason it's acting as if it's showing the container for posts without any images, too.
