That is not a bug. It is just something that I forgot to change and it will not affect anybody or anything. See here:
http://aquoid.com/news/2012/05/suffusion-version-4-2-0/, near the end of the post where I mentioned this.

I don't do any changes to code, yet my site will occasionally loose everything but the header and I have to wipe out Suffusion and reinstall it for (mostly) everything to come back. I am viewing it in Firefox, but I have had someone look at it in Chrome and swear that it said I had 4.2.0.
If you are losing content without making any changes, there are very high chances that somebody has hacked your site. You might want to check your site for malware. The fact that your header shows up would indicate to me that somebody keeps injecting code into your header that causes the rest of your page to break.

While I sympathize with your frustration, I haven't done anything in this release that reduces simplicity or breaks things dramatically. There are a couple of minor bugs known, and they have fairly simple workarounds.
While the theme is free, I do take quality extremely seriously, and I put this release through 4 user-tested beta cycles before releasing it to the public. Something as drastic as the issue you are reporting would have been caught in the beta, or would have at least come up in the past one month that the theme has been live.
