I'm not sure when this started happening, but I believe it was within the last couple of upgrades to Wordpress. I'm not sure if something in WP has changed the way Suffusion works, but I hadn't upgraded Suffusion is quite a long time (well over a year). In any case, I'm at my wits end. The issue I'm having is whenever I go to "Upgrades" or "Themes" in WP, I am bombarded with 6 of the following error messages:
Warning: file_exists() [function.file-exists]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/home/dobsonce/public_html/dcnews/wp-content/themes/AboutImages/about1.jpg/style.css) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/dobsonce:/usr/lib/php:/usr/php4/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php4/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/dobsonce/public_html/dcnews/wp-includes/theme.php on line 386
The 6 messages pertain to each of my rotating images for Suffusion. I have followed the suggestions listed here (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/open_basedir-restriction-in-effect-1), but nothing has resolved the issue. I have deleted my entire WP installation and reinstalled. I even removed Suffusion and installed from scratch and then restored my settings from a backup and the errors returned. If I switch to another theme, the errors still remain, which is really weird. This could very well be an issue with WP and not Suffusion. The only thing that leads me to believe it has something to do with Suffusion is the "AboutImages" folder is only used with Suffusion and no other theme.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'm willing to try them.
Thanks,
Ken
