Feature content marques displays blank space

Hello,

I’m the web master for a local non-profit and hoping someone knows how to resolve an issue we’re having with Featured Content. On our home page, we have the scrolling marques that displays our latest posts with one sticky posts I have it set up to show seven posts, but the marques only shows six spaces. The first space shows nothing. The second space shows the sticky post. Then, our latest posts will show up. Well, you can check out what's going on. Our home page is http://handycapable.org .


What I would like to know is how to make the first space display our sticky post and the rest of the spaces display our most recent posts again.

This isn't a theme issue. In the "Widget Area Below Header" you have added a text widget with improper markup (there are lots of mismatched HTML tags there). If you clean that up you should be fine.

Thank you for responding to my post, sayontan. I should've been a litte more specific in my last message about the problem we're having.

We do have four text widgets that are displaying images and links. That's the row with "ENRICHMENT", "EMPOWERMENT", and "ENVIRONMENT".

The problem we're having is with the slide show that displays our lastest posts. The first slide is showing nothing. What I want to do is have the "NOW SHOWING" post, which is our sticky post in the first slide and have our most recent posts in the other slides.

If you need me to explain what's going on better than this, please let me know.

The problem, as i mentioned, is with your markup in the four widgets: it is broken. Your widgets have improper and mismatched HTML tags, causing in the subsequent markup to be broken.
