What about cpanel or some other form of access? Basically you should be able to see the files installed on your host one way or the other.

I found it! Under Hosting > Files > File Manager :)
Thank you!

Another way around this is to use the ZOOM feature on your browser.

The max res on my small notebook is 1024x768. If you zoom out in your browser, you can see the save box.

Re: the elusive buttons

I also was unable to find any buttons to save changes, until I searched this forum under "save changes" and found a post that led to this one. I have my monitors set at 1024x768 (some of us are still using old monitors), so that may be part of the problem. (Your part of the interface has a LONG horizontal scroll width when displayed in the dashboard. I don't know if zooming would have helped; the buttons box was still invisible even when the screen was scrolled all the way to the right.)

Interestingly "admin.css" was not accessible via the editing interface (in the dashboard) as described above. I had to open admin.css on my desktop, make the prescribed changes, and then re-upload the edited file. With that done I could finally see the buttons for saving changes, although about 30% of the width of the button box still disappeared off the right-hand edge of the window. So I just changed the key value to "right: 30 px;" and now it's always out in the clear.

Thanks for providing this helpful forum. Now to test out more features of this very promising theme. Cheers!

Both solutions are better than my original one. Thanks!

OK. Do this. Go to Appearance -> Editor, then click on the link for admin.css. Look for this code:

This is strange, but when I go to Appearance -> Editor, I don't see a link for admin.css. Under all the php templates, I see a list of CSS styles, but there is just (rtl.css) (style.css) (dark-style.css) (ie-fix.css) (print.css) and (rounded-corners.css) – no admin.css

Any ideas?

Can somebody please explain what it is that we're supposed to be changing in the admin css file? Everyone keeps talking about it but there is no explanation as what new parameters need to be changed!

Kenji,

What needs to be changed has been mentioned on this thread itself - you just need to see the posts on it. See here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2679&start=0#p12184. As I have remarked, the solution posted by Isis and Russ138 are both easier ways to achieve the same goal.

That being said I put in the code myself in 3.6.8, so the latest version should be fine.
