Sub-Header Doesn't Align left in 4.0.4

Postby tonyroberts » 12 Mar 2012, 12:19

Hi, just applied the latest update and can no longer get "Description / Sub-Header Alignment" to work to my satisfaction. Sub-header is set to left-aligned, but it goes to the right. Center- and right-alignment seem to work as expected.

See example here: http://sherry-roberts.com/

Add:
Code: Select all
.description {float:left;}

at the BOTTOM of Suffusion Options -> Backend -> Custom Includes -> Custom Styles area.

Ha. Funny. My header and sub-header do not align to the right.
Both left and right settings go to the left.

I added
Code: Select all
.description {float:right;}
to the Custom Header JavaScript box in the Custom styles area.
And that didn't do anything for me.
What else can I try?

ps. I also tried to add only: .description {float:right;}
Didn't work neither.

Ha? You add a CSS definition to Javascript area? Funny...
In my previous post I specified exactly where is need to add a CSS definition - not in Javascript box but at Custom Styles area...
Anyway, that definition was taylored for the user site, in your case maybe can't work this approach - depends on your specific configuration. Without an URL I can't know if it works or not.

Actually I tried in the CSS box as well, no result.
But I'm definitely admitting my ignorance :)
It'd be great if you could have a look.
The website is http://www.swtor-skills.com

Surprised and wondering why this function is not properly working.
Thanx

In your case add this line at the BOTTOM of CUSTOM STYLES area from Suffusion Option -> Backend -> Custom Includes:
Code: Select all
.blogtitle, .description {text-align:right;}

Thanks, that worked.
Any idea what's wrong? A bug in Suffusion?

As I said, I don't know how you configured your header, what other definitions you have at Custom Styles or in Javascript areas... or if you had edited or not the stylesheets or other files of theme. In Inspect Element your title and description is settled to 100% width, so... even if you have just few words, this elements take all header room... As elements is aligned to the right, so I just align to the right the words inside of elements.
