Bad SEO?

Postby Zambri » 15 Mar 2012, 20:14

Hi guys,

after a few months using suffusion, I realized when I search the same keywords in google, I have better results from my old "not any more used" blog than from the actual blog using suffusion, even having more visits in the new one.

Can this be related with some seo specifications of suffusion? Is there any way of improving seo with suffusion?

I have no idea why you are posting this as a bug.

Absolutely not. I don't use any SEO plugins and I rank very high on all my sites (the Aquoid blog has a PR 6 and the Suffusion page has a PR 8).

SEO in the theme is fine, if you are using it in the right manner. You are always welcome to try an SEO plugin if you feel that gives you more control. As long as you have good content with the right type of backlinking and the correct keywords associated with your site you will be fine.

I don't do freelance work (for Suffusion or otherwise), so please don't contact me for quotes or offers.

Could you tell me some tips on how to use the included seo please?

I had to install a seo manager to be able to share correctly news in facebook, because of the "opengraph". Will that affect to the suffusion seo?

Zambri, is your old blog still online? It sounds like it is, if you see it rank better than your new blog.
Also, if this is the case, I suspect that you have copied your old content to your new blog.
In that case, it's normal than the old blog ranks better as the new blog will be considered as duplicate content of the old blog.
