First headline repeated at bottom of headlines

Great theme - very flexible - thanks for creating it! I'm using 4.0.4.

Using the magazine template and all works well except for this:

Valhalla BC Provincial Park “No Shooting/No Hunting” issue RESOLVED – For Now.
PROPOSED NEW EXPLOSIVES REGULATIONS CAUSE CONFUSION
News on the 2012-13 BC Hunting Regulation Synopsis
The Long Gun Registry – Bill C-19 at the Senate.
Valhalla BC Provincial Park “No Shooting/No Hunting” issue RESOLVED – For Now.

The first headline gets repeated - happens whether its the headline, excerpt, or category listings...

You probably have double checked that post/posts... by example as latest posts but also as post in category, or as sticky post and category... double check your selection for headlines to not have duplicates selected.

I double-checked and the repeating posts are often in only one category, so it can't be picking them up twice that way...

In the "Edit Page" (or "Edit Post", whatever the article is) for that article, check the section for "Additional Options for Suffusion". Make sure that under "Magazine Settings" you haven't got any checkbox selected.

Sorry, should have mentioned that I haven't set any individual post magazine settings - and I just double-checked to make sure that somehow they haven't been checked off through some quirk.

I've been looking through my Magazine template settings to see if there's something there, but nothing jumps out.

For example:
Magazine Template - Latest posts in category blocks
You can show your category's latest posts in each category block:
Selected -> Show Posts

[BTW, now that I double check, it's actually not showing the five most recent posts in a particular category - the first headline is from March 14, followed by one from March 26, and a second item from March 26 isn't even in the group of 5...]

Plus anything that might cause duplicate headlines, you might expect to cause ALL headlines to duplicate. In this case, it's only the first headline that gets duplicated.

Not sure if this will help, but try following my suggestion from here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/chil ... ?replies=5

Thanks for that suggestion Sayontan, which involves the following:

adding wp_reset_query(); at line 182 of the suffusion file widgets -> suffusion-query-posts.php

Sadly, this did not resolve the issue.

Also tried the query reset at several other points (line 182 is at the end of one "while ($query->have_posts())" so I tried it later at line 208, the end of a second "while ($query->have_posts())" and then further down at 225), but none of these worked either.

BTW - I just put the WordPress default Recent Posts widget in a sidebar to check and see if the Suffusion queries were actually picking up the most recent posts by date in particular categories. And it turns out the the same issue is happening - first item gets repeated at the bottom.

AND... just noticed that on interior pages, the repeating of the first item in Recent Posts no longer occurs - PLUS - it gives an accurate list of recent posts (that matches All Posts in the admin screen)...

So something on the Home page is messing up any query on that page...

Now, I do have WordPress SEO by Yoast installed and I notice that on the home page, the Browser Title just says - shotgunsbc.ca - while on all other pages, there is a proper Browser Title - name of page >> Straight Shooter...

Other things I've tried:

- only activating the Headlines function on the Magazine template, and not Category Boxes
- using the Page of Posts template

Both of these still resulted in repeated first headline, plus not picking up the most recent posts.

Because this is a live site, I've reverted to the default WordPress blog home page for the time being, with excerpts selected via Suffusion.

Am going to experiment later with activating the Magazine template on a page that is not the home page... see if that makes it work.
