wow sounds great...

if I have understood correctly it would be like,

Create a page named "Category", with the category.php Template (once you are done with it) selected, have a link on the top menu and when someone clicks on it, bang you get a page displaying the entire list of categories, is that what you mean?

Almost. The file "category.php" is present in the theme - it loads up when you select a category. What will be provided is "categories.php" (note the plural). The rest of the process is as you described.

great man, that sounds cool.

Can't wait to start using it :)
When do you think you it will be ready? Can I say both this and the other feature max in a weeks time?

Hey and also, when I type http://www.testsite.com it shows the front-page and when I try it again with http://www.testsite.com/index.php it again shows my front-page. I understand this like, index.php is shown as my front-page. I read that index.php is the template "default", while creating a "new page", now when I check with one of my pages having template "default" it should be displaying the front-page contents, right? but its not, so where do you think I have understood it wrong?

No - I cannot commit to both in one week. This is not my full-time job (and my full-time job is extremely time-consuming), so I only work on it when I have time to spare.

yeah I can understand, how would I get to know if they are ready? Do you post it here?

Also did you read my above query?

Well, when you look at your "Themes" page in your admin menu you can see messages indicating if a new version of a theme is available. That tells you when you can upgrade. Also, I typically announce big releases on the Aquoid News blog, so you could subscribe to it.

Technically the default landing page for a blog is home.php. If that is not present, it defaults to index.php. You could avoid using either and explicitly set a page as the front page from your blog's admin settings. A default "page template" is the page.php file, not index.php. Again, please refer to the link I posted in my prior response.

Technically the default landing page...

am not sure am getting the point, will have to work it out.

Actually i want both my "Frontpage" (which shows the latest 10 posts) as well as another top-menu item - "news" to show the same content. Still struggling to figure this out.

Thanks for the patience though.

This is fairly easy. Simply go to 'Navigation Bar Setup', set 'Show "Home" page?' to 'Show a text link' and '"Home" page text' to 'News'

This is the first time I am hearing of somebody asking their front page to be the third on the list at the top! Boy, the requirements do get weirder.

See this thread: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19&start=0 . You can use this concept and instead of linking external pages, link internal pages through the plugin. You can create a dummy page redirecting to your front-page and set an order for it in the "Edit Page" menu.
