Suffusion/Buddyress

I have set up a server with the newest buddypress and suffusion. The connections between friends doesn't work. When a friend request is sent it freezes the script. You cant cancel friends either. The messaging works but doesn't notify the recipient. On the members page the tabs for "all members" and "friends" when clicked do not repopulate the fields below. http://www.wiremaxx.com Feel free to sign in with any info you make up, its just for this development.

When I switch it back to the buddy press theme it all works.

Any and all comments will be greatly appreciated!

I'm having a similar problem using BP 1.6 & WP 3.4.1 network. I noticed in one thread that the Suffusion BP Pack plugin used BP 1.5beta files and Sayontan said they thought the problem might be there.

Ouch. Not sure if I can downgrade my BP and for the time being any of the functionality of BuddyPress that relies on jQuery/AJAX has been lost. Can't friend anyone, can't reply to messages, can't join groups. Ugh. I turned off friends and am going to use BP Group Management plugin to force every user into every group for the time being until the BP Pack plugin gets updated.

If anyone figures out a hack to solve the problem in the meanwhile, I'm dying to know.

Joseph, you can also switch to the buddypress theme temporarily. The downside is obvious. Not sure how it compares to your group push solution.

Yeah I considered BP theme, but my Suffusion child theme has been so heavily developed that I don't wanna start over from scratch. If a Suffusion BP Pack upgrade is coming, I'll just limp along until then. I put a "Technical Difficulties" notice up so my members would know what the workaround is. It's half a solution, but I guess it'll have to do until something better comes along.

I set up wiremaxx.com so as not to screw up my main site and extensive child theme while testing new the buddypress. I then hired someone who said they could fix the problem on my main site, but instead ruined my Suffusion child theme. Damned if you do, damned if you do. Weeeeeee

Unfortunately I am out of my comfort zone when it comes to BP, and I have to rely on bug reports to identify and fix issues. At this point of time I cannot help you. I only have this computer for a few more hours and I will not receive another one until the end of Monday. So reasonably I can look into this in about 7-8 days.

Well, if I do that I will receive probably 30-40 requests each day that Suffusion doesn't work with BP! Having the plugin is a smaller headache.

You are so humble Sir. It was a joke. It meant if you don't understand something it should be shut down because its prolly beyond ANYONES comprehension. I was thinking bigger then buddypres suffusion pack. I was thinking all of wordpress and buddypress for sure:-)
