How to order the pages to show on the slider?

How to order the pages to show on the slider?

I'm trying to arrange the pages to show on the slider in a particular order. However, after entering the order of the pages ID in the featured content section, it's not recognizing this order sequence, please help?

Try to change the publishing date of pages to the order you wish (last published date will be for first page in featured content slider). The easy way to change dates - on the list of pages choose "quick edit" from the menu which appear on hovering over the page you wish to change.
For me this method still works for a featured slider with pages added as widget - http://www.bhzn.nl
