Change main site border colour?

Postby mcddrums » 08 May 2012, 18:17

Hi all,

I'm really pleased with the help I've had from you all so far and I'm so happy with the way my site is coming along.

Another question for you...

As you can see on my site: www.surreyweddingband.co.uk I have a black, thin border around the content. I cannot at all figure out how to change the colour of this outline? Could someone please tell me how? I've done a search but cannot seem to find the answer.

Thanks!

Add at Suffusion Options -> Backend -> Custom Includes -> Custom Styles:
Code: Select all
.post, div.page, article.page {border: 1px solid #ff00ff;}

Replace magenta with your own color.

Hi Drake,

Thanks for this, but this changes the border around the main text box. I'd actually like to change the border around the outside of the whole page. Basically the border in which all of the site is contained. Any ideas?

Thanks

Try this

Code: Select all
.page-template-1r-sidebar-php #wrapper {border:none;}

That's the one! Cheers Colin.

Clearly this is possible with all of the various widget, text boxes etc . The problem I have is identifying the name of each box, border etc in order to be abl to give the command to change a particular box. For example, I see that the "border" I was talking about is actually called the "wrapper" . Is there a list or are you abe to post a quick list here of the various box/widget box names in order to be able to change the border (or wrapper) colours of these various areas?

Thanks :)

Do a search for Firebug on Sayontan's blog. It talks you through how to find out element names. This is what i did for your earlier issue. A definitive list is a bit difficult due to the number of sidebars, flattened or not etc etc.

I did post a markup and hooks reference a couple of months back - check it out. One word of caution, though, is that I haven't updated this diagram with the new HTML5 elements. So some divs will be replaced with article etc. For that list you can check out this post: http://aquoid.com/news/2012/03/upcoming ... suffusion/

I don't do freelance work (for Suffusion or otherwise), so please don't contact me for quotes or offers.
