help for compatibility issue

Postby donazzolo » 12 May 2012, 05:11

Hi all,
for a new site, I would like to use Suffusion and the plugin qTranslate. To this end I'm testing Suffusion4.0.7/4.2.0; qTranslate2.5.28 and WP3.3.1.

Using my local Windows XP as developing system all things are right.

But uploading the site to the server (Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition SP1) when I try to access the home page I get an error "http 500".
Activating on the server a different wordpress theme (e.g. TwentyTen) the error disappears.
The error disappears disactivating qTranslate and restoring Suffusion as well.

May you tell me how I can avoid this conflict between (I suppose) Suffusion+qTranslate and Windows Server 2008?

Thanks for help,
Luciano

Through inspection of error information, I located the fault inside the plugin qTranslate, module "wp-content\plugins\qtranslate\qtranslate_core.php": disabling the function qtrans_strftime (forcing a "return $default;" as the first function statement) the error vanished.

In the next days I'll try to identify a cleaner solution

Bye

I don't do freelance work (for Suffusion or otherwise), so please don't contact me for quotes or offers.

Thanks Drake,
the solution you suggested didn't resolve my problem, but I think it confirms I have to turn my attention to qTranslate side and in particular to its management of dates in 64bit environment.

Thanks again
