Categories & sub-categories

I wanted to have a category page (?) with its sub-categories and with description for both category and sub-categories, how would I go about it?
Like:

Cat 1.0 -- description
Cat 1.1 -- description -- link to actual sub-category page with posts
Cat 1.2 -- description -- link to actual sub-category page with posts

Is this possible in Suffusion or do I have to hard code it in HTML for each category adding the links for subcategories?

This isn't possible in Suffusion. You might want to search for a plugin for this.

There doesn't seem to be a plug-in for this.

I suppose I could use the WP page and HTML code it with appropriate links.

Opinion please.
