Postby wildque » 19 May 2012, 01:43

hi every one.
I am trying to make a theme like the on for http://www.ubuntu.com
I know that it can be done, because on http://aquoid.com/news/showcase/ are along the same idea.
Where the menu bar, and the header is, no problem. but makeing the columns under the header, i have tried, but getting no where.
Can someone give me some guidance please...i am not the brightest spark on the block, so please make it simple.
thanks terry

One way of doing it would be to use a normal page with three ad-hoc widget areas with text widgets in.

Another way would be to create some custom CSS defining your own 'boxes' and then create the page in HTML view with tags to your own CSS declarations.

A third way would be to use the Custom Template from Suffusion Options > Templates.

I am sure that there are other ways too.

Thanks for your reply,
Out of the three that you put forward i would like to go with the templates in suffusion, so that i can get to grips with the theme better.
not worried about the look, just how to do the actual layout. Where would you start? I have gone to options...templates, widgit num 3 and set the defaults to 4 and saved. where to next?
