Sidebar showing unused Tabbed Widget panel?

Postby peterhallam » 19 May 2012, 23:16

Hello.
Using latest version of Suffusion, Suffusion – 4.1.5.b4, and have a problem with the Sidebar. It is actually a long standing formating / display problem. I was unable to fix it so just switched off my Side Bars altogether. However, I find I REALLY need side bars on my site.

The problem is a coding issue on my end, I think, and it means that even when I have no widgets in the sidebar, the sidebar shows an unsightly ugly 'area' at the top. Viewable on my site here http://PeterHallam.com.au

I have no idea how to fix this and subsequent updates from earlier versions have not rewritten the code. (I think this is messed up code but am not sure). :cry:

Please help.

You can hide what is there with a bit of custom CSS in your Custom Styles option.

Code: Select all
#sidebar-container.sidebar-container-left {display:none;}

Alternatively you can try going to Suffusion Options > Sidebars and click the Save button and then reset defaults. You can do the same thing to Suffusion Options > Layouts. This may well fix it for you

Oh Colin. Mate, thankyou so much. It's always the 'little things' that get me in a tizzy.

That fixed it! Resetting to defaults worked. I have a simple clean sidebar. So simple, so straight forward; which is why I've overlooked it for months and months.

Thank you so much for pointing that out. I really appreciate it. :D

Have a great day.

Peter
