Suffusion Theme Looking different with WWW or /blog

Postby buton6 » 12 Nov 2009, 09:16

Hello, thank you for all hard work into the Suffusion theme, looks great but having issues with it.

I am trying to use Suffusion theme as the main site I installed it into my promediagear.com/blog directory.

However I run into issues where, www.promediagear.com/blog looks different than "promediagear.com/blog" why would that be, I use yahoo hosting with built in support for word press.

Also it seems that some options don't work I make a change to a theme and it doesn't change.

Please help before I abandon it.

Thank You

Your site looks identical both ways. I see no difference (screenshots attached):

Regarding your other query, did you ensure that you have checked "Custom Styles" at the top of the options page where you made changes?

Sayontan.

HI, Sayontan, Thanks for reply,

Hmm, must have made more changes.

If you look now at http://www.promediagear.com/blog/ you'll notice the side bar on the RIGHT

FOr http://promediagear.com/blog/ sidebar is on the LEFT.

Thanks

My guess is that something is wrong at a web-host level. Can you try changing the theme itself (from Suffusion to something else) from the admin panel of one of www.promediagear or promedigear. Don't change it in both places. If Suffusion stays in one but doesn't in the other, it means you have made some errors in setting up things with your host.

I've tried setting up different themes and similar issues, Called Yahoo of course they said its the problem with the Word Press.

Its installed into a blog directory, I've use the autimatic Yahoo install for wordpress, maybe I should install wordpress manually? I've tried their both custom and automatic installation.

I am not familiar with how Yahoo hosting does things, but I would suggest first going to your home folder on Yahoo using FTP. Check if there are two folders there: www.promediagear.com and promediagear.com (that is how my hosting provider sets up accounts - a folder for a domain). If so, delete one and keep the other. Hopefully things will work then.
