Works in all browsers except IE8

First of all, I greatly dislike IE8. That said, I have the theme working and it looks great in Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Flock. It does fine in IE8 as long as it is still loading. Once complete, the banner code in the widget under the header jumps all the way to the right. Any idea how I can fix this?

I'm looking at it in IE8 and don't see anything wrong and it looked the page was completely loaded.

Thank you, folks. I did some more trouble-shooting and found that IE8 has something called "Compatible View" that tends to break themes. I was able to toggle it off, and all is well.
