No Visual Mode When Trying To Write Post Only HTML Available

Hello,

I hope someone can help me. I went to write a post in Suffusion today and I do not get the choice to write it in Visual Mode only HTML available. Is there something else I can do or that I am missing. I know nothing about writing a post in HTML or anything else for that matter. I have always used Visual Mode to write my post, but it is not giving me that option. Please help and let me know what I can do to fix this.

I have also tried disabling plugins and that doesn't work. I really don't want to install a fresh copy of WordPress. Writing post in Visual Mode was just fine until installing Suffusion. maybe I have a setting off in Suffusion options. I don't know, I have looked and looked but do not know what it can be.

I had my mce editor disappear as well, happened just the other day. It turns out it was a plugin ([url=

I would suggest trying again on disabling all plugins, seeing if it works, then if it does re-enable them one by one until you find the one that is breaking the mce (a lot better than reinstalling wordpress and finding the mce doesn't work because of a plugin.) Next, if you are still having trouble, try re-uploading the wp-admin & wp-includes.

One thing I found when I was dealing with this was neither tiny or ultimate mce would work.
However the Ckeditor did work.

Thank you! I am going to try the plugins again and who knows maybe it will work this time. If not I will try your suggestion and re upload WP admin. I will let you know how it works out.

I have done everything that you suggested, but it is still the same. I am not sure how to re upload wp- admin and wp-content. I see those folders on my host site, but I am not sure if I delete them and then what? I don't know. If it is not too much trouble can you explain to me how to do that? I have searched the wordpress.org support forums and only find 'how people did re upload them and didn't work.' Not actually how to go about it. I would be so grateful.

Check under Users -> Your Profile in the administration panel. There is an option for "Disable the visual editor when writing". Make sure it is not checked.

Goodness I appreciate your help. Do you know what the issue was? Under users there was a check in 'disable visual editor when writing.' That wasn't checked before. I feel stupid, I didn't even know you could disable it. Sorry for your time in helping me. Really thank you!
