UNAUTHORIZED WIDGETS

Postby hlibbey1 » 22 May 2012, 13:16

I have just noticed that several of my widgets from sidebars 1 & 2 have been moved to the bottom of the page in one long column (above the footer widgets and under the posts). I do not know how to access that area--I didn't know you could put widgets there. In any event, I have deactivated the widgets that have moved, because I tried to move them back to sidebars 1 & 2 to no avail. I still cannot move them back to their original positions, but the larger problem is there are still extra widgets there that I did not originally have in my sidebars, namely: CATEGORIES, ARCHIVES, LINKS and META (which I have in my footer section). I am particularly concerned that the extra META section is being used for hackers to log into my site. Any help would be appreciated. My site is diydujour.com.

You have a stray </div> in your "Foodbuzz" widget. That is breaking your markup.

Thank you, I fixed that, and it moved those four widgets to the sidebars, however, they are not widgets I put there, and the widgets are not showing up where you drag the widgets to, in sidebars 1, 2 (top and bottom). How do I get rid of them?

Categories, Archives etc. are default widgets for Sidebar 1. If you don't have any widgets there, they will show up unless you switch them off explicitly (from Suffusion Options -> Sidebars -> Sidebar 1 -> Default widgets for first sidebar).
