Sharing link showing in "Excerpts" in custom view

Hi all, first of all, I want to say that I love the theme. It's really great and while some aspects are a bit challenging to get my head around, it's really great and my site is coming along nicely. I'm wanting to use the "magazine" template on my site http://throughmyspecs.dreamhosters.com/ which I'm currently working on, but if you look at the excerpts section (titled other big stories) you will see that she sharing buttons such as for FB/Twitter etc show up in that excerpts box. Is there any way to remove them from the excerpts boxes of the main "other big stories" part and still have them show up in the post when you click on them?

Hope that made sense, and thanks in advance.

Those links don't come from the theme - they come from your sharing plugin. It might have a way to disable them.
