I am trying to put BACK some of "Empty Space Between Top of Page and Header"
no matter what value I put in there, it makes no change.
I tried pulling out all my custom CSS includes but that made no difference.

any suggestions?
thanks

If I understand you correctly try this

Code: Select all
#wrapper {margin-top:40px;}

Change the 40px to suit.

Can you make a mock-up to indicate where you need the space? You already have 20px between wrapper and header.
If you need more can force the distance by adding at Suffusion Option -> Backend -> Custom Includes -> Custom Styles (replace 30px with desired value):
Code: Select all
#wrapper {margin-top:30px;}

Very nice styled the header. There are a tutorial somewhere for obtaining that glow and perspective in Corel or Photoshop?

Hi Colin,

Thanks for the suggestion. I would have thought that would do it too. That put more space in between my horizontal-outer-widget and my nav. I don't understand why.

HI Drake,

Hi Colin,

Thanks for the suggestion. I would have thought that would do it too. That put more space in between my horizontal-outer-widget and my nav. I don't understand why.

Mockup: Let me try to explain with words rather than putting more code up there. The "Top of Page" is supossed to be above everything, above wrapper, above widgets-above-header. IOW, with my current config, more black space above the top of my banner.

As far as the photoshop work, I don't know anything about how that is done. If you contact me, I can put you in touch with the artist. He is in Germany.

Thanks,

Steve

Add this code then:
Code: Select all
#header {margin-top:30px;}

The previous code refer to the space between header and page, i.e. a page is like in a notebook, the place where you write your texts... and not the cover (the header) where rarely write something :)

About styling - I already figured how to make something similar in Corel :)

Hi Drake,

Yes, "header" did it, thank you very much. I didn't try that/think of that because the chart I am looking at shows "header" stuff below "wrapper." Glad to learn something new from you!

I spoke to my graphics guy. He didn't make it in graphics software. He rendered it in a 3D CG program.
