Magazine Title / Image Permalinks

Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a way to change the links in the magazine layout post title and image? I like the fact that the excerpt is the post, but I would then like the links to go to the page. If it's too much coding to do that, would I be able to just disable them?

Hi Sayontan,

Working thru this I found that, if I have a page with the same name as the post, the excerpt title link will go to the page. Is there any way to disable the links that belong to the title on the excerpts?

If I could go into the code and comment them out that would be helpful.

Hi all,

I was able to go into the code and remove the permalinks to the excerpt titles. Unfortunately, I can't figure out where to remove the permalinks for the images on the magazine / excerpt page.

I've turned off all the links within the images. These links are actually to the post. It has the same link as the Full Story button. I want the images to be static images. How do I remove the links from the images?

I'm sorry..I've tried to do this for 2 days and I still can't figure it out.

I commented out all the 'href' statements for thumbnails that I could find. All that happened was that the thumbnails disappeared, not the links. I just want this to be an info page without links. If I decide to use links later on, I will enable the 'full story' link button.

Anyone have any ideas?? I would appreciate help.

Rather than doing things this way consider using the "Custom Layout Template" - that will let you have text widgets with generic images, followed by text, followed by a link to a page / post.

I think that I tried this once and there was an issue..I don't know for sure, so I will try it again. I know I tried the ad hoc widgets and I couldn't get them to go side by side so I didn't go that route.
