Homepage shows LATEST POSTS only shows the number "0"

Amazing theme!

When the homepage is set as a static page with the 'page of posts' template the links to 'Older Entries' show the same posts, not the next 5. Clicking older entries will link me to: http://www.technouz.com/page/2/ but show me the same posts as page 1.

So to solve this, i though i would set homepage to show latest posts. When i do this, the homepage simply shows the number 0 in the top right corner.......


Any help/solutions? Or any way to fix the 'older entries' link?

How did you solve this? I have the same problem on http://docgriffith.com that has persisted through a theme upgrade.

I had a PM session with OP at that time. Finally he solved by verifying his child theme folder and removing an index.php file which definitelly don't have it's place there.

Aha! solved it.

My child theme had an empty index.php file in its directory. Removed it and problem solved.

Yep, Drake is right. Just to recap for anyone who might have this problem:

My problem
Clicking 'previous entries' at the bottom of the homepage shows me the same page, but the URL changes to /page/2/ or something similar.

Solution
I was using a child theme, which had a blank index.php file in the root directory. I removed the index.php file and the problem was solved.
