drake wrote:The simple question of OP was about "a very simple forum"... The simple answer is still "Mingle Forum"... In time you make theories on this, probably Mingle "just works" on his site.

enderandrew wrote: Mingle looks a little more feature complete right now. But I also believe it is developed by a single developer, as opposed to core WP developers.

Suffusion also is developed by a single developer, as opposed to TwentyEleven, developed by core WP developers... Need to say more?

You are correct that Mingle is likely the best answer to the original question. A second question was asked about bbpress and I thought I'd share my thoughts on how the two compared.

You use buddypress which integrate bb-press forum. You will have to use their forum.

I now installed bbforum on this page: http://gf-zpravodaj.cz/forums/

In this page is shortcode: [bbp-forum-index] , but again it does not work...
I have created a category and forums.

If I add into the page shortcodes:

[bbp-topic-form]

[bbp-forum-index]

As I remember you don't have to install anything, just activate the forum in buddypress. The standalone bb-press version don't have Suffusion support (like is Suffusion BP Pack for Buddypress) so, you will have to make changes in templates in order to work together.
