Custom Layout - different appearance in different browsers

Postby vickihollett » 01 Aug 2012, 12:47

Suffusion is an awesome theme but I’m very confused.
In Chrome a page created with a custom layout template displays exactly how I want it: http://www.vickihollett.com. In Firefox, the elements are positioned correctly but some of the orange text has become black. And in IE two extraneous empty boxes appear in widget area 3. Unfortunately I haven't been able to view the page in Safari yet, and there may be more problems there.
If anyone has any tips suggestions for how to solve the IE and Firefox problems, I’d be really grateful.

The orange vs. black thing is probably due to a setting at your end. Basically you need to make sure that visited links and non-visited links are styled the same way.

Regarding IE, I have a feeling that you have some problems in your markup, which, if addressed, will resolve the issue. E.g. Take a look at this in all your "Enhanced Text Widgets":
Code: Select all
<img src="http://www.vickihollett.com/wp-content/upLoads/teacher-trainingx222.jpg"class="aligncenter" >

You need to have a space before the 'class' declaration.

Also, you need to close the <a> tag around the above image.
