Is Migration safe?

Post by migf1 » 11 Nov 2010, 11:28

Hello Sayontan,

I've finally decided to upgrade from 3.0.9 to 3.6.9 so I'd like to know if the Upgrade->Migration option is completely safe. I understand that it is an one way road, once done you cannot restore back the values of the 3.0.9 options, right?

Thanks.

PS. A few days ago I got an email notification about a pm form you, but when I logged in there was no pm. Did you send something that you deleted before I get it?

PS. I backuped the db first, just in case, but I didn't need it after all.

Yeah, might have sent one requesting for an updated Greek translation. Can't remember, though.
Good that your upgrade went through - 3.0.9 was almost a year back, I think.

Post the file Sayontan if needed and I'll do it ;)

Thanks, I was a bit afraid due to the the very outdated version I was using, but you have made an excellent job (as usual).

And guess what, I d/led v 3.6.8, I made my modifications in some of the theme's core files (due to some custom stuff I've added, like the pixo menu and the cu3er slideshow for example) and as soon as I u/led it on the server, the wp admin panel notified me that v 3.6.9 was available :D
