I don't understand - what you did? You downgraded the theme from 4.4.6. to 3.8? Why you did that?
Of course your site is broken, such old version cannot be compatible with actual versions of WordPress... php... javascript... or anything...

For this reason exists upgrades - to adapt a thing to the actual conditions...

So, try to upgrade back to the actual version - at least 4.4.9. which was the last in repository, but you even can update to 4.5.3. which can be found in the topics from the top of this forum, on github or on my site...

Not at last, please, post the link to your site address, not the link to Google - we cannot inspect Google to see what are your punctual problems.....
