Bold text..?

Postby beginner8 » 17 Jan 2010, 17:35

I did a search on this forum and google, but couldn't find a thread that specifically answers my question...

When adding text to my pages, the readability of the text is not very strong, it looks lighter in some areas and darker in others... I dont know why its like that but I thought perhaps making the text bold will improve its readability.

So my question is: does anyone know if I can enter something in the CSS to make this change and if so, what should I enter..?

Thanks.

What do you mean by adding text, are you typing it in or pasting it in?

Does it do this in the text editor and on the resulting webpage?

so far I have been typing it... is it better to paste it..?

Basically I open up a page and that is where I type the text..

perhaps a plugin like tinymce would help in my case... dunno...

now this is something I do not understand at all

1) if you copy or if you type the text will be displayed the same
2) if a text is presented too weak, you should not use "bold" or other typographic elements, it is a question of the text color in the CSS

3) TinyMCE is per default the editor in WP, did you deactivate it?
check this in users / your profile / whether "don't use the visual editor" is checked

My suggestion, as described here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=394

identify the CSS element and give "color:black" to that element in "custom styles" area
