What happens if you don't make this page your home page?

Normally when an issue is posted I check the link you provide, then I try to replicate it on my machines. I am not able to replicate at my end, which generally means one of two things - either things haven't been correctly done at your end, or there is more to it than just the comment form setting.

My guess is that you have defined a static page called Perspectives and are setting that as your home page. In that case, what does the option 'Hide "Comment form closed" Message on Pages' have as selected? Is "Perspectives" selected in the list?

yes, all pages are selected. I couldn't do it, so I just took the comments off the page.

One other question - I took your default page template and changed the post area to white.
But I want one page template which would be all black - just as it is in your dark theme. How do I do it? I crerated a black page template, but it doesn't work.
