Navigation bar in header?

Postby Amit » 30 Mar 2012, 23:25

Hi again,
Can I somehow insert the navigation bar (e.g., the one below the menu) into the header div?
The goal is to position the navigation in a similar manner to this example: http://rng.org.au/RNGwebsiteBASIC.jpg

Thanks!

Isn't possibile to change the flow of div's but is possibile to obtain what you wish by simply CSS definitions. But you are on your own without an url - that picture don't help us to help you more...
See this topic: http://aquoid.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=7772&start=10 maybe it help you.
You also can see these settings working at http://www.apartstuc.nl

Thanks drake.
Works like magic and solved another problem while adding it 8-).
The url is http://rng.org.au/ (obviously the rest of the content is just a placeholder).
I used #nav.continuous to get rid of white spaces between the individual buttons.Note that the left indent was created with a left inset border.
Three questions:
1. How can I increase the size of the buttons so that the 'outcomes' and 'media' buttons will cover the orange area on the right?
2. Similarly, getting sufficient width of button to fit a the long name in the 'People' menu?
3. Finally ;) , how to stretch the background image to fit the whole length of the wrapper?

Thanks a lot!

First of all you need to change that 750px value to 1050 to match with your actual width (the previous value was taylored for the other user site). Also you don't need rounded corners.

Then we will see...

(Are you sure that in your picture isn't a fluid layout? If that is what you need, first of all set the fluid layout)

Thanks mate. I've made the changes, but still struggling with the width and length issues.
How do I set liquid layout?

Cheers

You can set a fluid layout at Suffusion Options -> Layouts -> Default Sidebar Layout -> Width section and below.
