Blank space in post

Postby marieaimee » 30 Apr 2012, 04:58

Hello,
I had some blank space in my front page post (above image) which I removed using Custom Styles:
.entry {padding:0;margin-top:-20px;}

However, this has now messed up my posts and page of posts as you can see: http://iheartprettylights.com/blog/
and also http://iheartprettylights.com/dyi-garden-bbq-lighting/
Is there a better bit of code to do this?

Thank you!

You can increase the specificity of your code by addressing only the .entry class for the homepage. By changing your code with this one you will address just the space for homepage and will let the rest of pages unchanged:
Code: Select all
.page-id-180 .entry {padding:0;margin-top:-20px;}

You can determine your pages id's by hovering over the pages in Dashboard -> All Pages List - you can see at the bottom of your browser something like "http://your-site/...post.php?post=XX...." - XX is the id of your page.
