Creation date in Magazine

When I show a list of post under the Magazine or Query Post page using the magazine highlight box style, is there a way I can replace the 'right arrow graphic' with the creation date of the post? I am not familiar with coding. Thanks!

Was there ever a solution to this? I would love to have the arrows in my magazine category view replaces with a date graphic.
(Also, I have no url at this time, site is still hidden until updates are completed)

Another question, along the same lines: would there be a way to add the date of the blog post to the category display list?
