Using Static page as landing with featured content slider

I recently downloaded Suffusion 4.0.7 update. Prior to this update I was using a static page (with featured post slider) as my first page. The static page contained text in the body. I had/have a separate static page selected for posts. After the update I can no longer use the featured contact slider on my first page. Even though this selection was made from: Appearance/Suffusion options/Other Graphical Elements/Featured post. It appears that after the update the theme is now ignoring my selections under: Settings/Reading (where I have static pages selected and identified). What now appears as my first page is the static page selected plus posts even though I have a separate page other than my first page selected for posts. This is true and I have even tried to select "zero" as the number of post to display at: Settings/Reading only to have the system change the number to one when I press "save." Please advise! I am at my whits end.

Try to set "Show duplicate posts" at Suffusion Options -> Other Graphical Elements -> Featured Content -> What to show.

Thanks for your suggestion. Actually, I do not want any post to show on my first page/landing page. I only want to display the main text for that page, which appears in the edit screen when I select: Pages>Edit.

It worked! Thanks for your suggestion. I now have the slider and text visible on my first page. Thank you VERY much!
