I just installed Photonic and I must say I love it. But then I encountered something odd.
I just installed the plugin at http://baguiopilgrimsplace.com and I used Chrome to install it. I am just starting to build the site so after I installed the plugin, I configured it and tested it by adding a few pictures for the slideshow. Next I went ahead to add some stuff into the sidebar. I used Chrome as well. I added an image to my primary sidebar and when I tested it using Chrome, it's working fine. But when I tested it using Mozilla, Opera and IE, the image on the sidebar is not appearing using these browsers. (But the slideshow is working just fine on these browsers).
So I thought it must just be the image ad which I displayed using the text widget. So I experimented by adding a few default widgets like "Search", "Meta", "Calendar" etc. These widgets show just fine on the sidebar in Chrome but again when I view the site using IE, Mozilla, and Opera the sidebar is not showing.
So I logged out of the website which was opened in Chrome. Then I logged in to the site using Mozilla. This time when I refreshed the site using Mozilla (while logged in as admin in WP), the sidebar appeared. But then the sidebar is no longer appearing in Chrome. So to make it short, it seems that the sidebar content is only appearing on a particular browser when I am logged in my WP site on that browser.
Any idea what's causing this?
I used Wp Super Cache and other caching plugins cause I thought this may just be a caching problem but still it did not fix the problem. My theme (Platform Pro) definitely is not the problem here as I am using it in my other website and this never happened before not until I installed Photonic. Please help me on this one because I really really like how Photonic works - its just that it made my sidebar disappear after I installed it. I also cleared my browsers cache and browsing history but that did not help either.
Thanks!
Howard
