Dutch translation (update 3.7.1)

Postby WimScholtes » 05 Dec 2010, 03:22

Dutch translation of the 3.7.1 version of the Suffusion theme. If you have any comment, please mail me: two can do probably better than one ;)

Greetings...
Wim

Beste Wim,

Als ik je bestanden gebruik merk ik dat een paar dingen niet vertaald zijn. Ik weet niet of dat aan jouw bestanden liggen of aan wp, maar het gaat om het volgende:

- Bij het comment formulier staan de labels in het engels (zie: http://www.deventerbouwhistorie.nl/projecten/polstraat-7/ )
- In de loginpagina (die van de suffusion login template) staan de labels in het engels. (zie http://www.deventerbouwhistorie.nl/login/ )

Weet je waar dit aan ligt?

Met vriendelijke groet,

Peter

Peter,

Sayontan must do some extra things so that words/sentences can be translated in the theme. All the words/sentences which are included in a nl_NL.po file can be translated (which I did). I searched for the exempales you mentioned, but they are not in the nl_NL.po file so they can not be translated until Sayontan gives them the "special treatment" ;) in the theme , includes them in the .po files and then I will be able to translate them.

PS I wrote this in English because if Sayontan wants to react himself, my worse English is probably better than his Dutch  .

Greetings...

1. Comment form labels can be set by you in the admin screen, under Blog Features -> Comment Settings
2. The login form texts are the standard WP texts. If you are using a Dutch installation of WP those should be translated by default.

Hi Sayontan (and Wim),

Thanks for the reply. I changed the comment settings to 'theme based', that helped. And I updated wp to the Dutch version. It all works perfectly now.

Hello Sayontan and Wim,

I think there is still a little translation issue. Look at:
http://www.kasteelschaesberg.info/wpres ... chaesberg/
and you will see in the comment-area still some untranslated English "Name (Required)".
This sentence has also a link that does not work (it brings you nowhere)
Can you have a look at this.
Thanks

Nice theme Sayontan !!!
Good translation Wim !

Not sure I understand you - I am seeing Dutch strings there and no link.

On that DUTCH page you see in the first comment the ENGLISH words "Name (Required)" and i see no way to translate these in Dutch which should be "Naam (verplicht). Can you help?

And when i click on "Name (Required) Hans Nieuwdorp" (it is blue so it is a link) i go to a error-page.

I checked the translation file (.po) of the 3.7.1 version and 100% is translated and the word "required" is translated as "verplicht". I can't find the sentence 'Name required', maybe it is an option somewhere in the administration theme pages in WordPress? I don't use comment forms so I have never experienced problems in that section before ;) .
