Header Image

I'd like to add an image to the header (instead of text). I'm using the Header Customization tool under "Appearance" in the Wordpress dashboard. I'm trying to use an image from my flickr photostream but the URL isn't working. Does anyone know how to add an image?

Hi,
What is the URL for your page? I need to take a look to understand the issue better.

Thanks for responding so quickly! I love your theme. The URL of my site is http://getitdonefitness.com/ and the image I'd like to display in the header is located here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/getitdonef ... 065963218/

Hi,
I looked at your page - I don't see any definition for the "Header image" in the source code for the page. Are you sure you saved the option value?

Sorry I'm not a coder... I'm using the Wordpress dashboard to edit the theme. I'm in Appearance > Suffusion Theme Options > Header Customization > Header Image. Do I have to go into the code and change something? I'm familiar with basic HTML so if you tell me what to do I'm sure I could figure it out. Thanks!

No, you don't have to modify code. But if you have put in your Flickr URL in the field that you mentioned in the Header Customization section, and then saved your page, I should be seeing that the URL when I do a "View Source" for your page. I don't see it, hence my question.

Gotcha. I did add the URL but it's not working. Here's what I did:

Default styles or custom styles for header?
Theme styles (default)
X Custom styles

Header Image Type
Use a predefined image (default)
Use a custom gradient
X No image

*this is where the problem is (I think). It forces you to select one of the options so I chose no image because it says "If you have chosen default styles above or not selected a background image then this setting will be ignored."

Header Image
« Enter the full URL here (including http://)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/getitdonef ... 065963218/

What am I doing wrong?

Pick "Use a predefined image (default)". That should do it.

I tried that and I also tried "Use Custom Gradient" but none of them worked.

Here are your selections:

1. Default styles or custom styles for header? Custom Styles
2. Header Image Type - Use a predefined image (default)
3. Header Image - Your complete Flickr URL

Once you save your settings with these values filled in, the image will show up. At the least I should be able to see the Flickr URL in the source code.
