Yes, I saw that in the page source and was baffled by the "600". I knew about the sidebar.
I remember that back in version 3.5.x, I had to use Single Right Sidebar to get the front page to render correctly. I can't remember why, but it was the only thing that worked then. I haven't looked at or touched the templates settings since then.
Switching the front page to the Default template worked and now the page views normally.
HOWEVER,
On a normal test page, I ran through every template in the drop down menu and if it said "sidebar" it rendered the page narrow and squashed. Single Left Sidebar, Single Right Sidebar, Single Left and Right Sidebars, Double Left, Double Right. The double sidebars were spectacular in slenderizing the wrapper.
I tested and replicated the error on 3 different sites that use Suffusion 3.6.6. If I change the template to any "sidebar" template, the page wrapper shrinks.
I have not customized any templates.
When I revert to 3.6.5, every page and post renders as it should without changes to any code or any customization on my part. Single Right Sidebar works fine.
Here is the shot of the Templates -> Single Right Sidebar:
As you can see, it is set to default values.
I'm sure there is just a typo in the widget code somewhere that got perpetuated. I'll look after some sleep.
I intend to use your great custom sidebar design not only on this site, but the other sites that use Suffusion. I will be creating child themes and custom post types and with your evolving system, it will be a joy to integrate as long as I can have the choice to use sidebar templates if I need to.
As always, thanks again for your responsiveness and keen attention. That alone is worth using Suffusion.
