Anyone use SOLR search?

Postby alxvallejo » 11 Dec 2011, 20:23

I tried activating SOLR but I receive two errors when I perform a search (see below).
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/solr-for-wordpress/

Error 1:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /hermes/web02/b1930/moo.caringfamiliescom/blog/wp-content/plugins/solr-for-wordpress/template/s4w_search.php on line 67
Line 67:
foreach($results['results'] as $result) {

Error 2:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /hermes/web02/b1930/moo.caringfamiliescom/blog/wp-content/plugins/solr-for-wordpress/solr-for-wordpress.php on line 890
Line 890:
foreach ( $facet_on_custom_fields as $field_name ) {

So I'm not quite sure what to make of this.

Both of those errors show there is a problem with the plug-in code and so you should be asking the plug-in developer NOT the Suffusion theme support forum.

You're right. It was with the SOLR server not being activated. I am using mysolrserver.com to set up an instance of SOLR.

I find that Solr meets ~75% of my requirements and that this is as close to what I need as possible. Mainly, I need faceted search that will filter by custom taxonomy. Since Suffusion is for WP users, with lots of features, I figure this is a good target audience to raise this discussion.

I'm getting the same error but it's definitely in the Suffusion index.php.

[28-Mar-2012 18:48:09] PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in ***/wp-content/themes/suffusion/index.php on line 12
[28-Mar-2012 18:48:09] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in ***/wp-content/themes/suffusion/index.php on line 16

Help!

This is for http://www.diypics.com

Thanks

On the contrary, this has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Suffusion or any of its files. I don't know the path of files on your site, but if you replace Suffusion with TwentyEleven you will continue to have this problem, because it is a problem with the configuration of your site. I have responded to others claiming this is a Suffusion problem earlier: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5133&p=21215#p21933

I don't do freelance work (for Suffusion or otherwise), so please don't contact me for quotes or offers.
