Footer syntax problem

Postby barrygur » 23 Dec 2011, 01:02

I got a wierd message " Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&' in /home/barrygur/public_html/wp-content/themes/suffusion/footer.php on line 21"

I didnt do any changes in the site at all. it just appered few days ago.

Can you think of the reason and what I need to do to fix it?

Thanks!

Nothing has changed in the file, and there is no occurrence of "&" anywhere in the entire file.

First thing to try is to remove anything that you currently have set in Suffusion Options > Other Graphical Elements > Footer (both left and centre).

See if that fixes it.

If it doesn't then try a fresh download and install of Suffusion or if you are feeling capable then just replace footer.php in your current installation.

Let us know the result.

The best place would be downloading the complete suffusion theme zip file from wordpress themes to your desktop : http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/suffusion

Extract it and you will find the footer.php file that you can use.

Hope this helps

Thank you very much

I changed the footer.php file. I downloaded it from your link and replaced it with the old one.

Now it works great.

Thanks a lot
