Menu background is not showing in 4beta

Menu background is not showing in 4beta

I selected the red on white background theme and in 3.9.6 the menu selected tab background is a red (bg-red.png) and when I switch to 4beta that background is not shown at all. Switching back to 3.9.6 makes it work again.

Can you provide a URL with 4.0.0 active? I am not seeing any problems with this at my end.
