Create a Page. This page will be used as the template page for the magazine.

As you create the page, choose "Magazine" as the Template in the drop-down menu in the Attributes section to the right side of the page that you are editing the Page in.

Go to "Read" in the Settings section of the Admin Panel, and in the "Front page displays" area at the top of that page, select the radio button "A static page (select below)"

Then choose the Page you created as the Front page in the drop down menu.

Now Go to Suffusion Theme Options > Templates

And make your selections for the Magazine setup.

You can even display the content of the page that you created in the magazine at the top of your homepage by selecting "Show main page content for the magazine template" in the Magazine Template setup. You are given a choice of how to display your posts in any combination of Headlines, Excerpts, and/or Categories. You set these options in the Templates section of the Suffusion Themes Options.

Hope this helps.

Wow... That was very helpful.
Thanks so much...
Was also wondering if there are possibilities to customize the magazine template - and change the order in which headlines, categories, etc show.
Also are there any possibilities of changing the font sizes for different pages, and different sections in the magazine template.
Thanks...

The order that the Headlines, Excerpts, and Categories are displayed is determined by the order that they are called at the bottom of the magazine.php template in the editor. Back this up as it is overwritten when you update Suffusion.

Most of whatever you would want to do with fonts can be done with costom css. See Connie's article:

Thanks so much...
It was very helpful! And i must also add that I totally love the theme. I have no experience with web designing, and still what I have been able to create using suffusion is incredible... and so is the support you guys offer!
Cheers,
