Photonic with Media Tags

I'd like to find a way to use Photonic to display galleries in Suffusion using collections of photos based on the Media Tags plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/media-tags/.

Has anyone does this? Is it something that might be considered in the future? There are/were a few plugins that did it - but they don't seem to have the same general functionality as Photonic or they are just plain out of date.
