Code: Select all
div.page .entry-container {
    padding-left: 150px;
}

add this to your custom includes and reduce the number to the amount you want. It appears to be pretty high as it is so you must have something set in the back end that is causing this but regardless adding that code to the custom includes section and reducing the number will work. I dont even see that on my sites with suffusion so you must be using like a child theme or something. I am sure sayontan will have a better answer for you but that will work till he responds.

Hi I managed to sort it by selecting 'show in corners...' in the 'post and bylines' option. Thanks very much for your help. :)

Actually the other suggestion is more in line with the correct solution.

Sayontan, my goal is slightly different: I want to *increase* the padding between the left and right edges of the page and post boxes and the text the content contains, only without doing the adjustments in h1, h2, etc (because that messes up my columns). The solution above works for my pages ( http://octav.net/your-story-isnt-told-by-you/ ), but not for my posts ( http://octav.net/ ). Any suggestions for a streamlined approached that works for pages and posts alike? I've visited the "hook reference" you've directed me to in the past ( http://aquoid.com/news/themes/suffusion/hook-reference/ ), but the answer does not appear to be there.

You basically need .post .entry-container (as per http://aquoid.com/news/themes/suffusion ... dual-posts)

Sayontan, changing div.page (from MasterC3501's suggestion, above) to .post (from yours) doesn't appear to affect the post padding as desired. (Nor does changing it to div.post, FYI.)

You are using a specific post format. So you have to set the style for the appropriate post format as well. E.g. "div.post.format-image"
