All pages and posts are showing BOLD

I cannot figure this out. For some strange reason, all my posts and pages are permanently in BOLD font, and I have checked my code on the front page (index.php) which I use as the default front page. All <strong> are closed with </strong>

The problem seems to be theme wide. I read another post and reinstalled Wordpress but that did not fix this.

Do you have any ideas?

The funny thing is that on my big new monitor, it displays correctly, but on other computers it is all in Bold. Exasperating!

You have a very very high number of markup errors, mostly stemming from the use of old, non-compliant HTML markup (e.g. using the "font" tag with a bunch of attributes). Due to this it is easy to miss things. My guess is that you are missing a tag somewhere, which is cascading throughout the site. I think for "Terry Tailwind Bike Sale - 52% Off Sale" you have got mismatched tags (you have a stray "</a>", which breaks the subsequent markup).

I looked at the code in the widget, but the </a> corresponded with the <a href=""> before it. Just to test, I deleted the whole ad box, but this difficulty is still there. So, you are saying the standard old time html is causing me this problem? Apparently it is not that Terry bike but I must have one somewhere else. i will start looking around. I already checked the entire index page for any open tags. Do you think it might be the Adsense code?

Run your site through validator.w3morg - that gives a fairly detailed report. Of corse, with too many errors it becomes difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff, but the validator is a good start.

Yes I see what you mean. I have been using the old html in all my posts since I first started using this domain on Wordpress. I have over 2.000 pages and posts with that kind of code on them. Correcting all that will be impossible. I have no idea on earth of how to use the new html at all.

So I started noticing this bold font thing after uploading the most recent update of the Suffusion theme. Isn't this a strange world? All my code is old and non-compliant, but the pages rank in search and people buy stuff anyway. I feel like I am the Mad Hatter.

Here is a question for you; Is there an editor I can obtain to create post pages for my site which converts the post into the compliant code. I do everything in the old html, and have for 14 years. If there was a tool you might know of, then I could at least begin with the correct code from here forward.

Well, one possible reason is that you have set your font to "Arial Black" instead of "Arial".
