Buddypress and sidebar issues

Postby charlietech » 01 May 2012, 11:14

Hey there,

I have installed the buddypress activity loop.php to the front page. The sidebar goes under the activity stream on the homepage but is in place on all the other pages. When i use css and align it correctly. all the other pages are out of alignment. I have tried to used the class to only do that page but its not working

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I didnt edit anything. I moved the < and get footer down so the activity loop would fit on the page. I just copied the both pages and put them together. How could I get the load more at the bottom of the activity feed? I would like to show 6-10 users all the time and if they want to see more they have that option.

This kind of a change can break the layout (and is not a bug). Please paste out your new code so that I can take a look.

<form action="" name="activity-loop-form" id="activity-loop-form" method="post">

<?php wp_nonce_field('activity_filter', '_wpnonce_activity_filter'); ?>

</form>

<?php
get_footer();
?>

Instead of doing things this why not assign the activity stream as your front page?

I am not a BuddyPress user, so I will let folks more experienced answer this.

However, I am not entirely sure I understand what you are trying to build. Are you looking to add something like a slideshow to your activity stream? If so, you can use the "Widget Area Below Header" that Suffusion has, put a slideshow widget (like Suffusion's Featured Content widget) and use it in combination with a plugin like Widget Logic or Widget Context. They will let you position that widget only on your front page.

(I am guessing you know how to make your activity stream the front page)
