... Because that is not purely a BP thing. If you go to Settings -> Reading -> Front page displays, you can pick "A static page (select below)" and select "Activity Stream" for "Front Page"

... I told you how, a couple of posts above yours (see the previous page). Use a combination of the "Activity Stream" front page, Suffusion's "Widget Area Below Header", Suffusion's "Featured Content" widget and the "Widget Context" plugin.

So there is no way for the code i sent you to work? the only thing that was wrong was that the sidebar wasn't lined up in the right postion on the homepage, beside that, eveything else was fine.

what plugin allow me to have users post videos and picture on there activity stream?

Apart from the get_footer call move everything else to before the end of the "content" element

If you are a beginner, I would suggest following my first recommendation - that involves no code changes and will work just fine. What you are doing needs some hacking and you run the risk of losing your changes upon updates. The first approach is guaranteed to work no matter what.

As I said, I am not a BP user. Your best bet would be to try the generic WP forums for plugin recommendations - I have no familiarity in this area.
